Neurotoxin (Botox, Jeuveau, Xeomin)

  • Neurotoxin is an injectable treatment containing a safe form of botulinum toxin A. This reduces movement of your muscles, decreasing wrinkles and lines in your skin.

  • Neurotoxins works by blocking the release of acetylcholine (neurotransmitter that causes muscle contractions) which results in paralysis in a small treated area.

This temporary paralysis reduces muscle movements which lessens deep set wrinkles and helps prevent new wrinkles from forming.

  • Most common treatment areas are the forehead, crow’s feet (smile lines around your eyes), bunny lines (scrunched nose), gummy smile, DAO (muscles that pull the corners of your mouth down to a frown), platysmal bands (neck), lip flip, and more.

  • Drink plenty of water, and avoid excessive caffeine.

  • Tox is not recommended for people who have experienced any hypersensitivity to any botulinum toxins in the past.

Some traces of cow’s milk may be found in the formula.

Because it hasn’t been tested on pregnant or breastfeeding women, it’s recommended to wait until momma is no longer pregnant or breastfeeding.

If you have neuromuscular abnormalities (ie: Bell’s Palsy, Myasthenia Gravis, ALS, etc).

  • Avoid rubbing, massaging, exercising, facials or saunas for at least 4 hours. Doing so minimizes the risk of temporary bruising.

You may experience bruising, this is normal. Avoid NSAIDS for 24 hours.

Any bumps will go away within a few hours. If you need to apply makeup within 4 hours, do so with a gentle touch.

    Drink plenty of water.

    Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.

Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

It's best to try and exercise movement in treated areas for 1-2 hours after treatment (frowning, raising eyebrows, squinting). This helps work Dysport into your muscle.

It may take up to 2 weeks to notice the full effect, be patient. Results should last 3-4 months. If follow up appointments are maintained every 12-16 weeks, the effect should last longer.
